Morning Frustrations

Server is down. No email access. I, who have evolved into a specialised machine operator, am lost.

In other news, some people don't like changing their shirt.

ooo. I so lurv their faces when they screw it up like this. majorly cute. btw, Bella had a major tantrum today. so bad that she puked up twice. in the course thereof, she also almost ran into a huge drain separating the frontyard from the road. luckily my dad caught her on time. that's after she lunged at him with both arms outstretched yelling, "go away!", (he actually stumbled a couple of steps back) then turned the other way and dashed off towards the drain. twas mad. she was like a mad thing. like when I was so mad at that taxi driver....her eyes were glazed over, as were mine.

I'm sure the taxi driver still remembers.

I get a kick out of looking and playing with the little baby fingers. Am so tickled by the fact that I made those!!!!!

Its hard to not continue taking pics when he starts crying. I love seeing the progression of different screwed up expressions.

Well I still have a little bit of a gut (acquired during pregnancy, nurtured by non-calorie-watching after pregnancy).

But I haven't been to the Botanic Gardens lately - have phobia of running into other lunatics with cameras better than mine.

haha, by the way you've any ideas where i can get good sarongs. you know, those that go around the shoulder and you put your baby around you?

my cousin just given birthday and i was thinking to get one for her as a gift.

can help?

Hi! We got a pretty decent one from Takashimaya, although their range is quite limited. It came with an instructional CD.

I find those Ok, although The Son didn't like the sarong. Another alternative would be the baby pouch, although those will range from pretty cheap up to S$200 for the deluxe version (which comes with the all essential back support otherwise there will be major back problems).

I would recommend the deluxe version with the back strap, even though it's pricey, because it really makes a difference for the back and would get used more often. Check the weight limits and get one as high as possible so that she can continue using it when the baby is about 6 -8 months.

no no no! dun get sarongs unless the mother you're buying for is into such stuff. to properly carry a baby and comfortably so (for the mother) as well as for the baby, get ONLY THE BABY BJORN. It costs at least $120 at MotherCare, Centrepoint but it's worth every cent. If you must get a sarong, moms in mind's website has a pretty popular one although I hate it. they're singaporean women who quit their jobs and designed clothes and sarong slings....local stuff. but sooo popular overseas - even in canada. and yes, those come with instructional CDs. but like i said, I didn't like it, too hot, too cumbersome and baby finds it too hot - and not enuff support for his back so he tended to squirm a lot. maybe I just didn't get the hang of wearing it but I felt like some kampong ah-niah wearing it so I gave up. only my indonesian maid tried it and even then she ended up using her own sarong (tied indonesian style - very funky actually but I also didn't really get the hang of that so I left it to her) - like normal sarong, to carry my eldest. the baby BJORN worked the best for me and could carry him till he was 10 kg - or about a year old. after that age, they wouldn't wanna be confined to the carrier anyway coz they'd be trying to walk.

I can't believe you carried him on a sling at 10 kg.

I'd have just fallen forwards and not been able to get up by myself, like an overfed T-Rex.

Then when they pull me back up, my shoulders and arms will detach and flop on the pavement.
